When first getting into terrain parks/freestyle terrain it is important to start small and work your way up; a lesson is recommended. This section lets you know what resorts offer freestyle terrain/terrain park specific lessons. The Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA)and American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI) also offer advice and are a great resource for beginners. There are specific Learn to Ride Programs such as Burton's that help you get stated.

• Burton's LTR Program- The LTR program was developed by Burton and snowboard instructors worldwide to make learning to ride easy and fun. We developed boards, boots and bindings specifically for learning. We've spent a lot of time working with instructors and resorts to create an ideal environment for learning to ride. The result is the Learn to Ride Center.
